AFC Fylde full-back Zaine Francis-Angol featured for Antigua & Barbuda as they beat rivals Bermuda 3-2 in last night’s international friendly.

Francis-Angol won his 19th international cap for the Benna Boys in the first of their Caribbean double-header warm-up matches for the upcoming CONCACAF League of Nations tournament.

The host went ahead in the 13th minute at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium when Yeovil Town striker Rhys Browne capitalised on a loose back pass. Bermuda drew level midway through the half when Zeiko Lewis slotted home from inside the box.

Antigua flew out of the blocks after the break and goals from Gillingham’s Joshua Parker and Ebbsfleet United forward Myles Weston put the Benna Boys 3-1 up inside an hour.

Bermuda captain Reggie Lambe pulled one back, however Antigua held on and they now face Jamaica on Sunday.

As a result Zaine will miss the Coasters’ trip to Dagenham and Redbridge tomorrow.
