A man from Thornton who was diagonosed with an aggressive prostate cancer has released a book hoping to help others.

Stephen Copson wanted to offer hope and humour to those effected by the disease by disclosing his own perosnal experience, but also wants to raise awareness of the symtomns.

The 64-year-old also said that writing the book was his way of battling through and coping with the diagnosis which he received earlier this year.

He says: "It's not doom and gloom, in fact it's quite humorous throughout.

I don't want to make a penny out of the sales as I am donating all the profits to Cancer Research & Cancer Charities. I wanted to give something back to the medical staff who have helped me.

Most importantly though, I could highlight the symptoms associated with this cancer. Men tend to bury their heads in the sand when it comes to their own health matters. We all do it! So it will be all worthwhile if my book helped to save just one life. Hopefully the awareness created could help to save many more lives as some men will ignore the symptoms till it's too late for a positive outcome.
