As part of the STAR TREK 50th Anniversary celebrations in Blackpool – which include the previously announced STAR TREK: THE EXHIBITION and confirmation that the iconic TV and film series will be featured as part of the Blackpool Illuminations – comes the news that Star Trek will also be taking over the Opera House for a week-long film festival.

Boasting the biggest screen in the north west, a stunning 3,000 seat auditorium and state-of-the-art digital projection and sound, this is the place to experience J.J. Abrams’ new epic Star Trek Beyond as well as the chance to revisit all of the Star Trek films or experience them for the first time as they should be seen – on the big screen.

Blackpool – the UK’s biggest family resort – will host Star Trek: The Exhibition on the famous Golden Mile, from Thursday 30th June. The exhibition will take audiences on a journey through the 50-year history of Star Trek, with original props, costumes and scripts that have never previously been seen in Europe. The exhibition will come alive with an exciting new Augmented Reality app that allows visitors to appear transported.

From Friday 2nd September, Blackpool’s famed Illuminations will showcase a new light feature on the Golden Mile celebrating Star Trek, which will be seen from many miles into space.
