Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man who has gone missing from home in Blackpool.

Philip Martin, 37, has not been seen since leaving work in the centre of Blackpool at around 5pm on Friday June 17th.

He is believed to have sent a text message to a colleague on Sunday June 19th, but failed to turn up to work at 6am on Monday June 20th. At that point concerned colleagues notified police.

He has not been seen or heard from since then, apart from a possible – but unconfirmed – sighting of him near the Norbreck Castle hotel on June 24th.

PC George Berwick, of Blackpool Police, said: “This is completely out of character for Philip.

“There have been no confirmed sightings of him for almost two weeks and we are now extremely worried about him.

“We would urge anybody who sees him, or who knows where he may be, to contact us immediately. Similarly we would appeal to Philip, if he sees this, to get in touch to let us know he is safe.”

Philip is described as white with cropped, dark brown hair. It is not known what clothing he was wearing when he left his home.

Anybody with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting log number 779 of June 22nd 2016.
