Owners of Blackpool Football Club, the Oystons, have lost their court battle with Valeri Belekon, the Latvian investor in the club.
The Oystons were in dispute with Belokon. He provided 5 million pounds for the development of the South stand.
But a dispute arose between them over profits from the stand and who was responsible for losses elsewhere including a hotel development.
The exact amount the club's owners will have to pay Mr Belekon is to be confirmed, but is thought to be around one to two million pounds
Oyston’s lawyers also sought to appeal the case, but the judge did not grant permission, although she indicated they had the right to take the case to the Court of Appeal.
