Two brothers accused of the historical sexual molestation of a teenage girl in Blackpool have made their first appearance at court.

Ian Hindle, aged 30, of Shelley Grove, Thornton Cleveleys, is charged with two offences of raping the girl.

Lee Hindle, aged 29, of Pinewood Avenue, Bispham, faces an offence of serious sexual assault, three offences of gross indecency and two offences of sexual assault on the girl.

The offences are said to involve a girl age between 13 and 17 from the year 2000 at Blackpool.

Prosecutor, Jim Mowbray, asked for the case to be heard at crown court.

Defence lawyer, Suzanne Mugford, said her clients had indicated they would plead not guilty to the offences.

The brothers were bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on August 13 by Blackpool magistrates.

They must not have any contact with any child under 16, except for fleeting or inadvertent contact, unless directed by Social Care.
