Blackpool Sixth does Great British Bake Off Blackpool Sixth is delighted to announce that Great British Bake Off 2017 finalist, Kate Lyon, will be the celebrity judge for a charity baking extravaganza to be held at the college on Monday 21st May, 7 pm – 8pm. The event is being held to raise money for Trinity Hospice and will include a talk from Kate about her GBBO experiences, live music and a raffle.
Amateur bakers around the Fylde Coast are gearing up for the competition by preparing their creations to be judged in one of four categories:
Blackpool Sixth staff – Showstopper historical-themed decorated sponge cake
Blackpool Sixth students – decorated muffins
School students – decorated cupcakes
Open entry (general public) – decorated sponge cake
There is still time for keen bakers to enter the competition!
You can sign up online at: https://blackpoolsixth.ac.uk/the-col...-off-finalist/ Entries cost £5 and numbers are very limited so this is on a first-come-first-served basis. Cakes need to be brought to Blackpool Sixth’s reception between 8 am and 4 pm on Monday 21st May.
